for those that have followed my epic sho adventures I thought I’d give this weeks update.

Tranny:
The 2-3 shift is generally extended and harsh when accelerating at low~mid throttle, low throttle generally results in a soft, non slipping shift. Mid throttle is generally extended and harsh, full throttle feels about right.
Mr Anonymous let me know that the issue is internal and that I can either have it repaired (the right thing to do) or get a tuner (adjust shift points/pressure) to make it livable.[thanks SHOZ123 for the info]
I accept and appreciate that information. As a step-gap measure I decided to trick the fluid temp sensor since the shifting gets weird as the tranny temps rise. I wired a 10K *** inline with the FTS. Experimenting over the past week/300 miles has me settled into a setting of 6500 additional ohms of resistance. This has lessened the harshness of the 2-3 shift enough to be tolerable under part throttle, under full throttle it is still good, I haven’t noticed any slippage as yet.
I am not recommending this to others as a ‘cure’, especially since this mod is global.
I have several other SHO issues that need handled, when I’m satisfied that they are ‘non’ issues I’ll get a tuner and handle the shifting by means of that.

MAF and missing………..I have spent over 40 years in the automotive field and have never invested so much time and effort (and a bit of $) to only find that I have not resolved a problem….NEVER.
But, s**t happens and here I am.
I replaced my incorrectly matched MAF with a ‘rebuilt’ one from Cardone. I immediately felt a change, not better not worse…just a change in behavior. I have now driven the car @ 300 miles. The car runs a bit less rich, it is smoother overall, it feels better overall, the shifting improved a little bit, it doesn’t accelerate as hard from 85mph and oh yeah, IT STILL HAS A MISS.
The miss is less pronounced and I’ll data log sometime this week and see what has changed and if anything is a bit more apparent (as the cause of the miss) I’ll try to use that information to end this repair marathon.

Wiper/washer circuit………..before buying more stuff I pulled the wiper motor apart and found a cracked solder joint. I resoldered that joint and now my wipers and washers work as they should.
Thanks for reading
