Sticky seems to indicate these calipers will work:

94-07 TAURUS/SABLE/SHO
95-02 CONTINENTAL

Spot checking on Advance Auto Parts, it looks like the 01-07 caliper is different from the 95-99 caliper. If you look closely at the pictures, both use the FN74 bracket. So, is there anything to be concerned about? Is the newer design caliper from 2001+ any better than the older ones? They are $16 more each.

With any luck these links will work so you can see what I'm talking about:

2001-2007: http://tinyurl.com/ydf5qvs
1995-1999: http://tinyurl.com/y8exgyf

I found some Junkyard 95 Lincoln calipers, and some 2001 Taurus calipers that are more expensive. Want to make sure either will work.

Not sure I'd trust junk yard calipers to function properly. I would maybe grab the brackets.

I doubt the new ones are any better. There is probably little to no difference in piston size, and the same pads fit both IIRC. They look like they may have been redesigned for a little more wheel clearance, but who knows.

Agreed. Unless I am truly lucky and they look perfect, I'm going to just turn them in as cores. Cheaper than paying core charge.

I got mine off of a 2005 sable, they work fine. As for differences, i think the newer ones have some fins on them, thats all i noticed.

Thanks for the reply Joe. I managed to find a set off of a 2006 Taurus for $30 each. They appear to be in fine shape, still full of fluid. I think they will be fine to use with just a regrease of the pins. It seemed like a better way to go that they 15 year old Lincoln calipers.
