To you folks that have installed the 96 brake upgrade on your GEN II cars, do the slicers clear everything? Are the slicers ok to use with the upgrade?
Also are the rears worth the effort of upgrading to 11.6 rotors?

Yep, the Slicers clear the Gen III brakes and fit fine.

IMO its not worth upgrading the rear brakes much, except for looks or for the most modified track car. Spend your money on good pads and stainless lines. Bias plugs also help the rear brakes.

Since you mentioned Bias Plugs. Who knows where I can get some and for how much. Also, is ther a good write up on how to install them. Or do you just unscrew the "parts" in there right now.

I just secured the proportioning valve arm to the frame of the car so the rear brakes get maximum bias through the valve. Granted, you would get a bit more from true "bias" plugs, but see how you like it this way first. I definitly noticed flatter braking and slightly improved stopping power, plus it keeps the rears working more so you are less likley to seize a slider pin or get odd rotor wear. The proportioning valve is redundant if you have ABS, so its worth it if you have a 90-95 SHO. I wouldnt do it on an 89, the rear can get squirrly.

So you sequired it up as if the suspension was fully compressed then?

I would still like to know the answers to previous question in case I choose to go that route

Exactly correct.

Does anyone have picture of what the upgrade looks like through the wheel???
Doesnt look much different from a 94/95 setup. The slicers suck at revealing big brakes.

Does the little difference in dia make a noticable difference in braking? Do i need to do anything to the rear to match the front?

Makes a huge difference. I had a 95 with stock brakes, and it was just enough to stop the car under spirited driving. Now I have excess brake travel. I have never brought out the ABS with these brakes. Cheaper mod, with great improvments. You dont need to do anything to the rear. My car came with Cross drilled rear rotors and new calipers, but kinda pointless.

I installed my midwest upgrade and it made a HUGE difference, it is a direct bolt up and no modification is needed for 94-95 SHO's, look at your brakes and imagine what they would look like with the calaper about 1/4" away from the rim and the rotor fills in the space nicely, they do look good but nobody outside the SHO community will notice unless they are trying to keep from eating your rear bumper :) well maby not but it does stop a TON better.
