Hey...

well, just had a muffler start to go the other day..original since new..sure as **** can't complain..actually doesn't sound too bad, but i'm sure it won't last much longer before it splits wide open..read most of the posts on what the members choice for a replacement is and for me, looking for the cheapest..as long as it doesn't sound too crappy..am located in south eastern ontario around Kingston...any one done business with Midas..?? any thoughts would be greatly appreciated....you people here are a wealth of knowledge in keeping the beast running great...thanks much!!! :thumb:

i dont think the cheap summit mufflers will hold up very well to an ontario climate for too long.

Our cars came with a stainless steel exhaust right? And i'm sure that MI winters and road crud have left there mark on my exhaust as well...my mufflers are just about gone as well.

I think it'd be worth it to spend the extra $$$ and get a high quality stainless steel muffler...

But i'm sure you'll get a few more opinions

Hay again...found those summits for $14.95...the dynomax for the sho say 2 1/4 inlet and 2 1/2 outlet..summit only shows 2 1/4 in and out or 2 1/2 in and out..anyone know for sure as I'd hate to order and find out I didn't do my home work...as for buying stainless...yes that would be nice, howerver I don't think I'll hang onto the car for the long haul...she's been gentle on my wallet so far and I'm sure that may change any day...Thanks again guys for the info...

Well I'm not sure, but I would go with the 2 1/4 because unless you are putting a larger catback in you will need to match up with the existing pipes. The outlet really doesn't matter.

You should go with the 2 1/4 in and whatever you want out. I have 2.5 in and 2.5 out, I did have to do some modification to the stock pipe though.

The Cherry bomb turbo mufflers sound almost identical to the dynomax super turbos, but are cheaper. I think those would be close to your 50 range.
