I am looking at upgrading my SHO suspension with something better than stock. (how much lower will/can you go with 225/60/16 and the below combination?

The tires in the back are Very close to the inner wheel well as it is so I wonder about lowering the back at all without smaller tires, which I Do Not Want now. I like the phat, 60's muscle car look in the back. :thumb:
** (can the front be lowered and not the back without any affects to tire ware/rub etc.??)**

Is the Eibach/Tokico combination the best setup for my car. (is a 1" drop too much w/225/60?) I want to do it Once and move on to other areas.
Also, I read that a good to great setup costs upwards of $800+............
_______________

Anyway, more to the point..... I have a 1995 3.8l Taurus GL that needs struts, springs etc. etc.., all original at 110k.

Now, can these parts be taken off my SHO (and with only 57k they are in very good condition, Always garaged), and be put on my GL??

If so, can all the parts be switched....( i.e - mounts, hardware, and bushings) ? (other parts?)

And if not, which parts can, and which parts do I need to buy new?
The GL is the winter beater/everyday car. So I'd rather swap than buy new if possible.

Thanks guys and gals. I appreciate any insight you all may have. I know there are alot of questions to be answered but I know the people on this forum are an amazing resource. :thumb: :salute:

most suspension parts are interchangable between SHOs and regular tauraii.

the ground controll kit doesn't come with struts and with that kit i would HIGHLY recommend Koni's.

Yes, the front could just be lowered without doing the rear, but you won't have as much ground clearance up front and it might look a little odd. I'm surprised you aren't rubbing in the back right now with those tires, but lowering it will definately make it rub. You may need to bend the fender lip in a bit for clearance. You shouldn't have weird tire wear if lowered properly.
