Ok i have a 1994 mtx sho and my transmission lock up completley, so i bought a new one off of ebay and it was out of a 1991 sho mtx, and I got to looking at it and relized that it was cable linkage instead of the rod linkage like my sho has so i was wondering it there a way i can change it to rod shift linkage or change my linkage to cable linkage or which on is better?
then in order to pullthe transmission do i have to pull the intake runner off in oreder to support the weight of the motor on the top so that i can pull the subframe inorder to get the transmission out of the driver side fender well, or is there a easier way.
thanks

Yes you can use the rod shifter and it is the better of the two.
