92 battery tray

Is it really supposed to sit in there kinda ****-eyed and really close to the alternator?...Any one have a pic of thiers?

I have 2 SHOs a 94 ATX and 95 ATX and they both sit a little differently.

I pulled the tray out and cleaned it up after the P.O.s battery mishap. Lining up the holes to put it back in and it just doesnt seem right, the all three holes line up right but its REALLY close to the alternator. My 93 ATX tray doesnt sit like that. Im just gonna drill new holes so it sits better.

My 94 sits kind of close to the alternator but i never had an issue with it.

atx's have a tray that is straight as mtx's have a crooked tray.

anyone relocated there batt. what is a good close place ? i want to get it out of there to free up some space.
