....ok, so i have a 1990 SHO that i bought from my friend as a daily driver. Car is a bit beat up when it comes to the tires/suspension. Now, i need all new tires, but we all know that before i put those on, i need an alignment...and i cant get an alignment with bad struts. So.....given all that, this is what hte car is doing....very bouncy.....also when i go over almost ANY inperfection in the road, a sound comes from the rear of the car like something is hitting something else, and its like i can feel the rear wheel(s) bouncing excessively. On top of that, the rear sags very much-i'm sure the springs are done and so are the shocks-but i am not sure what taht sound is. The rear of the car also seems to sway more than normal on turns and curves-feels almost like the wheels want to separate from the body. Now, i havent been able to jack the car up and look, but i know i will need shocks/struts and springs all around....prob going to go with the sensatracs b/c i'm not putting tons of $$$ into this...i just need it ready for winter and its my daily driver. What else should i also replace or does it sound like there is anything else that could be wrong down there from what i've written? Thanks.

Rear coils and struts (macphersons) are a common problem on those , and the rear sway bar links as well .

If the car is bouncing alot , you need struts (try to look if its bouncing more from the rear or the front) Not to replace all (maybe the front is still good) Fixing that , good chances youll fix the noise problem in the same time.

For stock units , try out NAPA and part stores ( www.rockauto.com )
