89 Codes

Trying to figure out a violent bucking issue that has been occurring at random. I've checked easily accessed connections and wires and haven't really come across anything loose. I have a xj2 pcm + chip and 80mm maf from my other SHO that is sitting for the time being. It seems safe to assume that the 2 or 3 digit code is tied to the particular pcm being used.

From what I can tell, I am getting 151 511 919. Youtube link shows the flashes. Motor mounts are in terrible shape, Have a spare set to go in, Just lack of time with work lately. Car runs great other than occasional bucking issue. Tach Doesn't drop or otherwise act funky when the bucking occurs. No CEL seen while driving so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On a stock SHO engine, it's usually the cam sensor that causes such a symptom.

An 89 should have two digit codes, not three digits, unless you've installed a newer PCM.

an x2j should have 3-digit codes, but I don't think you have read them properly. please try again.

I did end up replacing the cam sensor after spending most of my downtime at work wandering the forums. The problem seems to be gone, so I gave up on pulling codes for now. The car has an old SHOshop LPM on it. Couldn't ever get a consistent series of codes, not sure if I didn't have a good connection when I stuck my wire in the test plug or what.
On the upside, The car goes like stink again, So I'll work on the computer codes next time around.
