89 blower control module same as 90?

The 86-89 blower control modules look almost identical to the 90-95 modules, but the housing is shaped a little different.
Does anyone know for sure if they are interchangeable?

If you are talking about the Automatic temp control modules, they are nothing alike and not compatable with each other. The manual temp control I dont know about.

I'm not talking about the climate control, but the variable blower control module behind the glove box. It works with the climate control to modulate the blower speed.

If its a 4 wire connection with black, light blue/pink, tan/orange, and orange/red wires chances are its the same. I'll see if I can dig up an '89 wiring diagram and verify it.

Thanks for your help. Wiring appears to be the same, but I don't know if that means it would function the same with the newer climate control.
