Ah, this is funny.. I did a question identical to this about a week or two back. I asked something on the line of "if I do a 96+ brake upgrade to the front of my car, can I take the factory rotors/calipers and install them on the back of my car, and then sell the factory rear brakes that are on it right now"
In short, I found the answer is NO. You can get a whole brake upgrade kit for the rear of your SHO from "www.midwestsho.com"
You can do the 11.6" rotors in the front using calipers from a 96+ sho.
Then with the kit from
www.midwestsho.com, they supply you with an additional set of the 11.6" rotors, hub/rotor spacers, and special brackets that permit you to reuse your current rear calipers with the new large 11.6" rotors.
So in short this is what you need.
94/95 Taurus front knuckles with ABS, any taurus will work, permitting it has abs
95+ continental front caliper brackets
96+ SHO rotors, junkyard or advance auto parts
96+ calipers, junkyard or advance auto parts
The above is for the front of your car. Now for the rear...
Utilize the factory calipers
purchase the kit from midwestsho.com
It will have the 96+ 11.6" SHO rotors
Rotor spacer/centering rings.
special brackets that allow your factory rear calipers to fit with the much larger 11.6 rotors.
That sums up the back of the car.
I would get a set of Stainless Steel brake lines and, from what I hear, synthetic brake fluid.
If there is anything that you don't understand, just reply. I hope this is accurate and help you out. Sincerely, Scott
