How difficult would it be to swap the entire dash from an 89 to one from a 90? I have taken my dash out before to do the heater core so I know how to do that, but my question is more about like, will I need to swap the dash harness also, will it fit more orr less the same, and will it just be the dash and not the heater core parts?

Also, the 90 has an EATC, the 89 doesnt. What should I do about that? Help! Thanks in advance

You should change the dash harness. Most of the connectors for the switches and instrument cluster are different and are in different locations between '89 and '90. You also have to deal with the differences between the non-EATC and EATC systems. If you stick with the manual system you will need to get a manual control head from a SLO or a Sable since you '89 control head won't mount in the '90 dash board. Lastly you will have to deal with the airbag, you can just leave it unhooked or you could install the entire system if you feel so inclined.

Thanx Jello. My friend might be rethingking giving me his isnterior since he found a SHO that he might be able to use to fix his crashed SHO. If he decides to fix it then I end keeping my worn 89 Interior. Thanks again for the response.

I have thought about doing that also. I kinda do like the 89 dash more than the 90 except for the gauges. I however am working on a retrofit
