yea from what i just read throughout the guide for the 60k, it looks reallyyyyyy complicated, but im gonna try and attempt and do this, thanks for the guide on the website.
The hard parts are like getting timing sprockets lined up, do not forget to gap the CPS... Hard is getting the pullies off of the crank, the pully puller I had, I had to make some thing for it so it would work, and get new bolts... Hard is getting the extra parts you did not know you would need or where lacking, or need to replace...
A couple of recommendations....
Replace the CID "vane" metal piece's phillips screw driver, screws, with allen head ones, the phillips screws are a PAIN IN THE ***.... I forget if the ones holding on it are socket or screw.... Any ways, REPLACE THOSE it will putting the vain back in very easy....
Personally next time I do my 60k, I will just pull the motor. I will get it done a lot faster that way.
Start looking for a shim rental kit now, or buy the tools from RCM and SHO nut, and just order what you need or buy from a yamaha dealer (they are the same as ATV ones, just bring one in).
I am sure I will think of more things.... Oh yeah, lots of rags, and carb or engine degreaser LOTS OF IT.... The intake can be cleaned with just carb cleaner. It takes a lot, but it is easy, maybe snake a rag through.... Cleaning it will regain some power.
