Oh come on now. Anybody who has driven a manual long enough to drive it by sound can tell when a gear is getting skipped. Even if the sound is hideously morphed by a ginormous supercharger and seeming utter lack of exhaust :p.

What? Oh you mean this? lol :p

so, when you made this post was your thought process, "How can I make myself look like a ********* today?"

I insist, g f Y.

awww, how sweet, a lover's quarrel!

but, to be fair, it is pretty obvious. When the note of the exhaust goes up a third in the major chord, then returns to the base, it shifts up one gear.

Having perfect pitch means I haven't used a clutch to shift a manual in a long time. That includes your green 92, James. I barely ever used it when I wasn't going from a stop! (doesn't include the white racecar, though lol)

You have to think about it musically.

From what I've seen the MTX-IVs don't really give you much warning... they're perfectly fine, until one day they'rWHAMgriiiiiiiindchugachugachuga...

Here's to hoping you don't hear that. :)

Hahahaha. Yeah, pretty much.

Sick gen1 tho! The setup looks really clean too. Any pics/specs?

Just found this post. Congrads on the great work and clean set-up. How's it been since the build-up? What, if any, future plans? :salute:

Much agreed!! when he goes from gear to gear it drops maybe a 3rd or so in pitch (scale wise) vs. a 5th or so if he skipped a gear! :) its is kinda hard to tell the way he starts off on the dyno tho.. but watching the tires gives it away he doesnt shift into second till later!!

great vid man!! that car is a beast

All the boost stuff is off and fixing to be shipped to Canada. And car is sold with the built engine and everything still on it.

And now I am buying a BMW M3 and doing a Ls1 swap on it.
