Hello,

Please forgive me, I'm a newer SHO owner (just recently learned to pull the ETC codes). I'm getting a 411, idle is at about 1000-1050 when first started, and then levels at about 900-950 after running a bit.
The vacum line that goes in near the ISC (to the right) is pretty old and crappy. This line goes down about 2 feet, connects to one end of what looks like a sensor, then goes from the other end of the "sensor" to a connector near the front air dam. I did buy a replacement ISC, but what is the name of the sensor that this vacum line goes to? It looks pretty crappy, and I wanted to replace it when I replace the vacum lines and ISC. Please help if you can, and please excuse my ignorance.

Thank You,
Michael Kelley

Thanks so much for the help! I'm going to do the vacum lines first to see if this clears the 411. If not, I'll then move to the ISC and vapor canister purge solenoid.

Thanks Again,
Mk

It is very unlikely that the canister purge valve is causing the high idle condition, although the vacuum lines being bad certainly can.

When you changed the iac valve, did you do the idle reset procedure? That will force the pcm to 'learn' about the new iac much more quickly. if you haven't already found it, shotimes.com has a lot of these procedures listed on the site.
