just wandering if anyone else ever had any problems with there transmission. i had my 99 replaced at only 34,000 because it kept hesitating for a couple seconds (was just winding, and wouldnt grab)it always did it at the worst time. it kept doing it more often, so i took it to the local ford garage, and they couldnt find nothing wrong with it....then took it to the ford dealer where it was purchased, and they replaced the transmission, and its been fine ever since.

They are starting to have problems with the torque converters. While we were in Carlise this year,Kirk Doucette`s wouldn`t lock up.There is another member here with the same problem. They eventually "blow",but i`m not sure of the specifics as to exactly what the problem is.

Karen's 99 is starting to slam into gear when you are creeping along, ex: you slow down to a light, and the tranny may still be in second. Creep to get closer, and BAM, there's first gear! The dealer conveniently has found nothing wrong.

mine was doing it when i was almost at a standstill getting ready to turn across on-comming traffic...almost every time it occured, was right when cars were comming at me too..if the car was running fine, i would have plenty of time but its just sitting in their lane winding, then in finally would grab.

Exactly what is happening in my 94 ATX, except mine has 130k....it is about to go south. Hessitant shifts, hard shifts....no missed shifts though...I am going to try and flush the fluid and change the filter, but I know it needs to be rebuilt
