? can you put a turbo on this engine. which cold air intake will fit? nothing appears to be available in this model for the 3.7.

You probably wont get a large response from this crowd. We are primarily 3.5 Ecoboost engine owners here. Anyone on here with the PI sedan has that motor combo. I would look at a different forum to have your questions answered honestly.

The 3.7 transverse engine is kind of an oddball setup in these cars. None of the civilian tauruses came with one. I think the only other cars that did have them were the Lincoln MKT and MKS base, and the Interceptor Utility. I'm not 100% on this so yo do your own research, but I believe externally they are identical to the NA 3.5 engines in this same platform, so any mods like intakes and exhaust for the NA 3.5 should theoretically be a bolt on for the 3.7. An unlikely place you might want to look are forum threads on the 10-12 Fusion Sport. That had a different AWD trans from Aissin, but it's one of the only cars with the transverse 3.5 in NA form that I saw enthusiasts modding. Might give you some ideas at least. Other than that, a regular Taurus/Explorer/Flex/MKS/MKT forum will be the place to look. Nice thing about your car is that it might have a PTU cooler, which is a common failure point with this drivetrain.
