The fuel filter is in front of the RR wheel under the body. At least, that's the way it is on the 94.

Trip your fuel cut-off switch, then start the car and let it idle until it dies before you change the filter (unless you want gas all over). Or, if your pump is not working you shouldn't have to worry about this as your system should already be depressurized.

You have the "strainer" IN the tank then follow the lines towards thefront of the car. The filter is right there on the rear fender, it reminds me (size & shapewise) of the vacuum thingey behind the intake manifold that moves the secondaries... rofl

Kind of off topic but I replaced a fuel tank (mine was rusted through) with one from my friends 89. Problem is the tank had rust in the bottom which clogged his fuel pump and caused his pump to die. I put in a new pump but its still sitting in the rust. I tried getting the rust out with a magnet with some success, but there's still a good bit of rust sitting at the bottom of the tank. Are there any procedures for cleaning the tank thoroughly? I'm thinking more about a summer project (though I'm sure I'll have more than one :D ). Any imput is appreciated.

Just my .02, but I'd look around for another tank at a junkyard, or post in the WTB section for a used one. Why even screw around with the rust? Used tanks have to be pretty cheap, and as long as you are not in a hurry, you can find a nice replacement somewhere...
