I have 205/60 on my slicers for winter tires. they are Goodyear triple treads. I have shorter than normal tires because the speedo reads slow about 10%, so I'm trying to make up for that a little to avoid speeding tickets....

Anyway, they handle better than the 225/50 summer tires that I have on the Gen3 wheels because the sidewall is straight under the side of the rim.

They'll be short.

Correct, the overall diameter will be smaller by ~.5 inch. I am specifically looking for feedback regarding handling, ride quality, braking, etc. My main concern is the 205 will be too small for the size and weight of a SHO.....

This is VERY interesting and says a LOT about tire to wheel sizing.....

I work for Discount Tire Company.

+/- 1 Profile size 205 or 225 is fine. It happens at my job all the time, its really not a substantial difference for every day driving. On a track it makes a difference.

You will be safe doing that.

In terms of weight and bearing a load, Tires can take more abuse than you think. A 205 will be able to handle a SHO fine. I ran them on mine for 4 months no problems at all.
