Has anyone had problems with vibrations highway speeds? I made a video showing it.

Both my 2013 and 2016 have no vibrations ... but showing water in a water bottle isn't giving me any indication of how bad it is.

Could be anything, unbalanced tire/wheel(s), seizing brakes, bad driveshaft etc. If you can localize where the vibration seems prominent, that will help narrow the cause.

Seven trips to the dealer. They say that it is “within spec “

Same dealer? Time to try a different one maybe, with smooth roads around for testing. Drive with the shop foreman if you are bothered by it enough. At 6,500 miles, I do not expect lug nuts to be the issue, but after servicing, it is easy to find 1 or more over/undertorqued.

Pulsing, constant, increase with speed, change with brake pedal,
does it change if in neutral?

I had a crazy pulsing vibration above 55mph that ford couldn’t figure out.
They had my SHO for 67 days straight. replaced every piece in the drivetrain except the trans.
It was finally determined that the RDU was the culprit. Once replaced vibration was gone.

They used a nvh (noise vibration, harshness) machine that pinpointed the area.

I’ve also heard that vibrations Can be isolated if the frequency is known.
Download one of those audio spectrum apps on your phone and see what frequency the vibration is

Sounds like a standard answer. I get tire and wheel balance issues frequently that shakes the thing but my car is much older than yours. I love the NVH machine idea.

Yes there is a specification for s vibration. Yes you can measure the vibration with an analyzer, and figure out the cause. You don't use audio, but an accelerometer. You can pay for a phone based app, but is $$.

If you're not happy with dealer#1, Bri g it to n
#2. Ask if they have a like unit first. This is the best scenario as they should be able to measure and compare both. Really, the butt dyno is best if you or the dealership can test drive back to back.

You can also complete a neutral coast down to see if it's wheel speed related or not. (Stayed above) Try different gears with the paddle shifters. See if it's affected by load (acceleration or decal engine braking)

These cars pick up road feel verry well. If the vibration changes with the road, the car isn't bad most likely.

Also stated above: where do you feel it? Seat steering wheel, both?

Vibration is in the seat (not wheel) . They have replaced the driveshaft and 2 tires so far

Ok, so the dealership has acknowledged the problem, and implemented the most common solution(s). I would look at the RDU next since the problem continues. Did the fixes reduce the intensity of the problem at all?

There is at least 1 other member here that had similar issues with vibration that turned out NOT to be the driveshaft. Will have to search for what the culprit turned out to be.

Keep on standby the possibilities of bent wheels and the need to "index" the tires to the wheels.

That’s why I’m on my last Ford. Try putting rear wheels up front and look for any change. What tires do you have? Did they roadforce/rebalance wheels? Look at wheel weights. Are they on one location, or more than 1? Very likely a tire issue; and as someone mentioned tires should be indexed to wheels.
