Greeting Everyone - I need some advice
So the little piece of chrome in the center of the shiftier broke off the other day, just one of those things that happens sometimes, and of course Ford does not carry just the $2 piece of chrome you have to buy the $75 shiftier head. I was wondering if anyone had this happen and had a few questions.
- If I go to a junk yard is it possible to remove the chrome from the shiftier without breaking it and if so how, it looks like one of those things once it's on it stay's on and is easily broken if you try an remove. That or there is some sneaky way I removing it I don't know about.
- How do you switch out the shiftier head, even if I buy the whole thing I have no idea how to replace it.
- Lastly any other thoughts, on how to fix, to be honest I'm thinking of using just enough glue to hold it in place but not so much you cant get it off if you need to. Only down side on that the chrome had already started pealing so I kind of wanted to replace it anyway.
Anyway its not a huge deal but its bugging me and you guys usually have a good work around, thanks in advance and have a great day.
