First thing, I only drive this car once a week. 105k, new engine and turbos replaced by ford at 90k. Livernois tune, 3bar. OK, so I was driving today and at the stop light the engine began to shudder a little. I see that the check engine light comes on. I give it some gas and it sputters. I immediately pulled into the parking lot and I can smell fuel. I check the DTCs and the first codes are P0304 and P1000. I reinstalled the tune and I still could smell a little fuel but not as much. I drove back to office and checked the codes again. It seemed to drive ok. This time got P00C6 and P1000. What does this mean? What are the probable causes? Thanks for any help! Please keep it simple.

304 is a misfire on cylinder 4.
P00c6 is fuel rail pressure is to low when cranking.

I would start testing the fuel system for proper low pressure with a gauge. Then maybe compare that to the fuel line pressure and fuel rail pressure sensors via PID data in the pcm. On a cold engine key on the gauge should read within 15 psi of flp, and 35-40 psi or frp. You can also start the engine and disconect the electrical connector to the high pressure fuel pump. This will force the pcm to run the engine on the fuel pressure created by the electric fuel pump. This will allow you to compare gauged pressure to the sensors.

Another possibility is that the #4 injector is stuck open leaking all the fuel rail pressure into that cylinder.

I dont remember what modle years had problems with the fuel pump driver going bad.
