I decided that losing the heated rear seats was worth getting the performance package. It's all a matter of which is easier to retrofit later...

It's a little frustrating all the different combinations you CAN'T do if you want the Performance Package. *sigh* Not that I will be ordering one anyway :)

that is really messed up. A really big thing for me is audio and it will not let you get the premium audio package with the performance package. Those are two that really go hand and hand.

if it helps, you can order an Altima SE V6 with a manual transmission, but if you do you can't have leather seats, nav, or any other goodies.

It's a hard choice between the euro 19in wheels and the SHO exclusive 20in. Maybe the 19s for winter and the 20s for summer :)

I guess a base msrp of 37k isnt really that bad considering my 98 was 28k 11 years ago:omg: Still alot though, $750 a month would be like a house payment for me, way to sweet for my blood. Maybe ill have one in 11 years:omgsho:

Get a base model and wait for Eibach, Brembo and others to start throwing parts out for it. Otherwise you'll be paying interest on that performance package for as long as you pay for the car even if you replaced everything with better parts.

It's the recalibrated steering and the higher final drive that isn't going to be modified cheaply.

Forget it...for now. If I wanted the ********* version, I'd get the Performance Package and that's it. But I would definitely want heated and cooled seats and the nice stereo. Funny how you get stuck with dubs and its added weight yet I can't add weight with creature comforts I want...

Hopefully, as the model progresses, you can mix and match more options...

Just to sweeten the deal, a couple of vendors have incorporated one of the tricks Cadillac used in the V2, which is using different diameter axles. A few guys have installed them now and the wheelhop is gone!

I'm still waiting to see some extended use from others, but I'll be jumping soon...

I think ford has setup the initial run of vehicles to be packaged the way they are for better PR. I say that beacsue if you could get a fully loaded car the price would be near 50K and that would scare off some people from even considering it, but the way they have done it will keep the "as tested" price in magazines much lower. I am sure they will offer it later down the road.

Seriously, these are SHO threads, not V threads.

It was brought out at the Convention something I think most of us would expect. As these SHOs roll off, the options packages would become more integrated with time. We should be able to see the PP with many, if not all, of the other options within a year or so...
