2010, plastic bits in oil separator

Hey all, I’ve been blowing smoke out my exhaust at idle so pulled my pcv valve and oil separator. I’m not sure what these are but there’s was a lot of gunk/ plastic chunks inside, and some are still stuck. Can I take this as a “ replace your oil separator”? One plastic chunk shown below.

I'm no engineer, wait..
Anyways, that looks like a type of check valve. Or at least the remnants to one. A check valve is a simple flapper type of valve that allows flow in one direction but not in the other.
