Hi All,
I have been a fan of the SHO for as long as I can remember. Last weekend, I spotted what turned out to be a green 1995 SHO, tan leather interior, factory sunroof, automatic (I know, I know...but it's still an SHO), with 160k on the clock but looking (cosmetically) to be in nice shape for it's age. I talked to the owner (it was at a gas station/repair shop) who said he'd had it for about 3 years but was moving on to other things. The asking price is a mere $1,000.
I have heard the stories about the transmission, the maintenance required, etc. I don't have any history on the car. I read somewhere that in 1995 the transmission issues were sorted out as Ford moved from aluminum to good old iron flywheels. Can anyone shed some light on that? If you were in the market for an SHO, and could get a 1995 for $1,000, would you pull the trigger, even not knowing the service history of the car?
Thanks,
Keith
