1994 Sho 5Spd Sluggish, Dying Twice

The check engine light comes on only sometimes when it is running rough. The tach works correctly all the time. It is rough thru both high and low rpm's. I would say that 80% of the time the car will act up. Sometimes right when u start it, and sometimes after it has been driven a few times. It died on me 2 times while driving it. All the other times it would run rough, then clear up, and start running rough again. The 2 times it died on me, i let it sit for 5-10 min. and it would start like it never had an issue. Really need in some Ideas. Thanks

Pull a spark plug and see if they are filled with oil.

sounds like a crank senor issue to me. I had to replace mine cuz it was just randomly dying and if i waited about 15min it would start back up. I would run codes to make sure but thats what it sounds like

I also had that happen with the rough idle and it was the cam sensor. Personnally I would do the crank and cam sensor both.
