Mr. Goodwrench
SOLD
For Sale, 1990 Ford Taurus SHO. 124K miles, 5 speed, Full black leather, power drivers and passenger seat. Motor was pulled about a year ago for a rebuild, and I lost my ambition. I had the opportunity to take an engine rebuilding class at a local community college, and 90% of the machining is done on the engine. It just needs to be assembled and installed. I replaced the stock cable shift with a rod shifter from a 93. The shifter is also shortened about 2 ½ inches. I fabbed up the exhaust in my shop, from the manifolds to the tailpipe. 2 ¼ y-pipe, close to equal length, into full 2 ½. It has a 18 resonator at the y-pipe, and a 24 inch resonator before the tail pipe. I have service records since 96k when I received the car from my Grandpa who barely drove it.
Engine:
stock 3.0 liter block is bore, but not finish honed to 3.2 liter
I have stock 3.2 pistons, and 3.0 pistons on the original rods.
Valves were ground, and seats lapped in.
Block hot tanked, and heads cold tanked.
All parts are present, and the valvetrain parts are all organized in containers
New battery cables
recently replaced A/C lines and seals
Top 60k mile service, rod bearings done at 103k
Front 60k done at 111k
Intake manifold and valve covers powedercoated by SourceOne Powedercoating in Lincoln
Trans:
Stock internals, bottom has been drilled and tapped for a plug
Fluid changed at 104k and 120k to Valvoline MaxLife Dex/Merc
New axle seals
New axle shafts at 104k
Stock clutch replaced at 104k
Suspension:
Eibach Lowering springs, fronts cut 1 coil shorter
Monroe Sensetracs, new mounts, front bearings
Gen 3 SHO Brakes, new rotors and pads
rear hubs have been reamed and longer studs installed to accept a spacer to run the Mille Miglia's
1/2-20 thread
Interior:
Full black leather, great shape other than the normal wear on the side bolsters of the front seats.
Newer Sony Xplod headunit and speakers, wired for amp/subs to trunk.
Sunroof, improved switch has been installed and wired to correct terrible Ford design (1993 Ford Contour Window Switch.
No air bag in steering wheel, but it has been sealed and filled (looks normal)
Previous salvage title from California front impact blew the bag
Exterior:
California car, relatively rust free
Starting to develop a little over the wheel arches, and in one of the door jams
normal scratches and dings for a 21 year old car
1 set of stock wheels from a 93, with Cooper CS4 225/60-16s
1 set of 17x8” Mille Miglia M11's with Michelin 225/55-17s
SOLD
Thanks!
