We have a 17 SHO that has begun to have key fob problems. It started with any time you’d click lock, unlock, trunk, remote start, or the alarm it would intermittently pop the trunk. That seemingly got worse, and now, the fob seems to intermittently not work. We’ve changed the battery more often than a handful of times, and we only have 1 fox to test.

have you checked the vehicle battery? miscellaneous electrical gremlins can be traced back to a weak/dying battery. check voltage and cold cranking amps.

the antennas usually do not malfunction, but the rke module sometimes can. check for any stored codes using a scanner that can read the ms can bus. most cheap ones only read the hs can bus.

I dropped my key fob on the driveway and it began to act erraticly. The car would not remain locked. Placing the key fob in my pocket caused the car to unlock. Remote start worked, but it was real sensitive.
