I have the cobra calipers on the 11.6 Gen III rotors. Awesome street setup. Grab great little to no fade. For the track on a full weight SHO there are barely adequate. While providing good stopping power, bite and feel the rotors are too small to disipate the heat generated. This will lead to overheating of the pads; glazing them and boiling the break fluid. If you're going to be on a track for considerable amounts of your driving, you'll need 17" wheels and 13" rotors. Atleast thsoe are my findings. Losing some weight and adding some cooling ducts will help but its a band-aid for serious track use.

I have both the 12" Cobra kit and the 13" Cobra kit. The jump from the 96 upgrade to the 12" Cobra was a HUGE improvement. The difference between the 12" and the 13" was there, but seems less significant than I would have expected. I do think the 12" kit gives you quicker acceleration since it weighs less, and also allows you to use the lighter 16" wheels.

We have sold a number of these 12" kits to people, and they always get great reviews.

The 12" (actually I think it's 12.2") kit that was on the Pumpkin is now on my silver car. They're quite nice, actually, and fit comfortably under the slicers with a wheel spacer (about 1/8" or so).

I used them on the track before I changed the suspension on the Pumpkin and they held up just fine.

It's a pretty good kit if you want a light, dual-piston caliper and still want to use slicers.

The spacer goes between the wheel and the hub and does not interfere with the center cap.
