I changed the plugs on my 2011 to the motorcraft mp-534's last night. It wasn't too extremely hard but not easy either, Front three should take about 30 minutes but back row about 1 hour because of all the things that need to be moved out of the way. The old ones were platinum tip and gapped at about .044. I haven't looked it up but I thought they should have been .035.

I am still waiting for the 160 thermostat, 3 bar map and LMS tuner to arrive but I was wondering if I could safely drive it with the new plugs @ .030 until they come in. Does anybody out there in SHOlala land know if it safe?

Spec is .032 to .038.

I think your safe as you usually close the gap when starting to tune to compensate for the higher combustion pressures.

If you don't already have some, get some wobble extensions of varying lengths. Those made it a good bit easier than the first time I changed them without having those. I don't physically remove anything at all when doing plugs. I'm no mechanic, but I can do all six in under an hour.
