Hello Group,
Pulled into the driveway last night in the 011 and noticed the exhaust on the 014 looked very rusty.
Crawled underneath to check it out and the exhaust is very rusty indeed.
The rest of the underneath looks like what I think a 014 should look, no extra corrosion.
The 011 exhaust is in much better condition.
What are your thoughts?

If it was my car I would have been on the interweb right away ordering some stainless! That's why I did the entire thing before the rust started. I even used scotchbrite on the pipes before install.

Going aftermarket IS an option.
BUT I like my SHO stock-sound.
So far the systems I have heard are too loud or raspy.
If you like the stock system why spend the money on it to get rid of a little surface rust right now? I would wait until it rusted enough to be a problem and then replace it with stainless piping and still use the stock mufflers. I don't see the purpose in replacing exhaust piping until it rusts enough to be an issue (such as a hole in the pipe).

Exhaust is uncoated, the body and most suspension components are coated. Uncoated will start to rust sooner but i wouldn't worry about some surface rust
