Serios Problem???
Waht is the big difference between a MTX vs. ATX would the problem not be the same. For those who have done this, how long has it taken you, or how long has it taken a shop to do it. I am capable of doing it my self but just wondering if it is worth the head ache.- x-tream

Serios Problem???
It has over 200k Killometers so it wouldn't suprise me if the rod bearings were gone. I am not familiar with MTX or ATX but if that means manual or atomatic trasmition then it is a manual. My uncle is a mechanic at a ford dealer and he came to look at it and it wouldn't do it when he was...- x-tream

Serios Problem???
At idle the oil light is on and there is a bit of a knock. all fluids are good and it goes away at 1000rpm. only happens when warm and below 1000rpm. anyideas or is a for sale sign a good investment?- x-tream

Roll Cage a SHO??
Yes in drag racing if you run under 11 sec. you must have a 6 point. Lance is correct about other types of racing. you should check what the rules for the type of racing you are doing well before going to the track or building a car.- x-tream

Roll Cage a SHO??
No the rule book doesn't say anything about the angle of the back bars or were they have to be placed. I read over the book and the only thing that i can see that might apply to you is the roll bar must be with in an inch of the side pannels, and door. that starts mkaing it pretty tight to...- x-tream

Yeah no problem i should have the pics on my comp by tomorrow or so. Ya your back bars sound like they should be fine. as for the 4 and 5 and even 6 point goes, The main hoop that goes over and behind your head is 2, the two back bars are another 2 that is 4. now the 5th and 6th and attached tothe main hoop as well and are usually mounted at the same hight as...- x-tream

Yeah you can definatly bolt everything to the floor. it will still stifen up everything that way. The 4 point isn't as stiff as a 5. but it all depends on what you are looking for. as for going through the seat it is up to you , your not sitting there any way. but yea it all sounds like it...- x-tream

No worries man. if you are looking to still use the rear seat take the back bars and go straight back along the headliner and then down at the same angle as the rear wndow and through the speaker holes. works awasome in other cars. for side bars going forward if you look around you can find...- x-tream

Painting the intake - Prepping etc. ???

Wierd shiffting
It only shifts when the clutch right to the floor, and then it still doesn't go into gear easy. it seems like there is some resistence going into gear (all gears) is this typical to the 89's or am i looking at a clutch??- x-tream

Custom instrument cluster?
Yeah a Piccolo knows what i mean. i know autometer makes a drop in instrument cluster for mustangs. also for older trucks. I am assumeing nobody has done any fabrication like this. I was thinking of purchasing an old cluster from a recker and playing around with that. should keep me out...- x-tream

Lowering Springs
I was loking at a set of spring for my 89 SHO and found the Eiback 1.0" front ,and .5" rear. has anybody tried them, or have you found beter sets out there. i wouldn't mind going lower also.- x-tream
