    When I have the heater on my idle is rough. As soon as I turn the eatc off the idle evens out. Is it something to do with the air conditioning compressor? It's mostly when the eatc is at the defrost setting?

    JB Weld is an awesome product to use to repair this. When mine came apart, I JB welded the front metal clip back in and the switch. I then opened up the holes in the front metal clip where it screws in so that I could tighten the screws and then just slide the clips in. It worked aawesome!
