Can't find bolts to pull the crank pulley

I used 2 from the top of the intake. Fit perfectly. :thumb:

Haunted by the EGR...

Markus: what size were the bolts holding the tube to the manifold? I need to remove mine soon. How difficult was it to remove?

Is my ATX toast???

$$$ to drill spot welds?

When they told me the cost for the drilling, my jaw hit the floor, and needless to say, they won't be getting my alignment business. And they had the nerve to say that wasn't even "book" cost for doing the drilling! I've got the drill, and I'll save the $178 for other mods instead!!! :thumb:

$$$ to drill spot welds?

I was quoted $89 per side to drill the strut tower spot welds, not including the alignment, which I need. Is this outrageous, or is it me?

Whinig sound?

Possibly a vacuum leak? I had one when I re-installed my intake and it sounded just like you describe.

Upper Starter Bolt Removal?

Thanks for the quick replies. The starter is out now, along with about 3 lbs. of gunk & grime all over it!!! Both the nut and the bolt/stud on mine were 13mm. Once I cleaned off some of the grime I could see them both easier. Time for a power wash after the oil leaks are plugged!!!

Upper Starter Bolt Removal?

I freely admit being mechanically dis-inclined, but after completing both the upper and lower 60k, I am attempting to remedy my oil pan leaks. BUT, that said, I can't for the life of me find the upper starter bolt for removal?!?!?!? Can anyone tell me where to look (I know, on the upper side of...

I used Berrymans spray cleaner. Rags in the bottom, and lot's of spray!!!

Chrome Slicers?

Sorry, it was an eBay special. I'll check in the morning to see if there's a tag on it. The slicers have the plastic center caps, but attached to them is a thick chrome disc. I'll look for a closer pic. . .

Q on filling in the SHO Lettering

I got mine from Bob White Decals (check SHOTimes.com). Chrome. Easier than painting, IMO. And they look pretty good! They've held up through many many washings too.

Tokico/Eibachs Finally installed!

I had never done anything remotely like this before. I found the back 2 to be easier than the front 2. The back took me approx. 1 hour each side, while the front took 2 hours per side. I used the SHOTimes write up and my Chiltons for reference, and double checked everything twice!!! ;) Don't...

OK, here's the pic. Front is about 1/2 an inch lower, rear is about 1/2 an inch higher. The old springs were really saggy! ;)

White face guages

Same here. The hardest part was finding a place to put the controller. I ended up epoxying it down by the e-brake release.
