    block heater placement

    With the changing of the bearings looming I was wondering if it made a difference were I put the block heater? It looks like on the back of the block, closest to the firewall, in the middle looks like the easiest place to mount it. I thought I'd make sure before I replaced anything.

    Anyone done it? Part number for block heater assembly? I'm gonna be replaceing the pan seal (500 miles per quart) and the rod bearings very soon and thought it would be a good time to do so. Thanks for the info.

    Uh oh. When I changed out my old pump for the Walbro 190lph pump, I put on what I thought was the check valve that came with the pump. At least thats what I thought it was. Makes me wonder what exactly it was?
