Need help with shifter....plastic piece broke.
My car is an 89. There is a plastic clip/piece that connects the shifter cable to the bottom of the shifter (underneath the shifter boot) which broke on my car. This makes it impossible to put the car in gear. The dealership will only sell the entire shifter cable which runs about $185...- Super Phil

Water pump leaking on sensor...AGAIN!
I haven't been driving the car...my sister has. So I don't know if water has actually been leaking. But when she called me crying and told me what the car was doing, I knew exactly what she was talking about. Need help with a pulley......
Thanks so much for the replies...you guys kick ass! To try to be more specific: The belt is loose, but is still there....and it is the 4 rib belt. And the pulley is on the bottom of the motor closer to the firewall as opposed to the front of the car.- Super Phil

Need help with a pulley......
Hi, There is pulley that is 3 1/2 inches in diameter towards the bottom of the engine on my 89 SHO. Anyway, the nut that was holding it on came loose and the pulley fell off. The pulley was retrieved and is in good shape, but the nut is gone. Does anyone know what this pulley...- Super Phil

Vapor lock or what???
Right on....thanks for the replies. Is there a step-by-step guide to checking/replacing the CPS on this site somewhere?? Also, with the poor mileage, should I replace the O2 sensors next? Plugs should be good and air filter is new too.- Super Phil

Vapor lock or what???
My car is an 89 with 77K miles. Anyway, yesterday I was doing a lot of running around town, in and out of the car. After one stop, I got in and the car would turn over but would not start.
