    Selling my SHO

Sad to say I traded in my SHO and I'll be leaving the Forum. Best wishes to all!

    Selling my SHO

Thanks, kryptto. Working on clean up and photos today as it's a warm and sunny day here in New England!

    Selling my SHO

What's the best way to price my 2011 SHO for sale? It needs more attention than I'm willing to invest at this point.

    2010 SHO touch screen failure

Fair question. Battery was new (Duralast) in April this year.

    2010 SHO touch screen failure

2011 SHO Sync with Nav - display wasn't showing at all this morning, even after multiple restarts. Completely dark screen. No radio/audio/jukebox, nav, phone, or climate control display. Climate controls still working. Driver's seat memory not working. All else -- all lighting, mirrors, seat...

    2011 SHO Damp Seat Belt

Update: 3-1/2 years later and after heavy rains the past few days, water once again showed up, this time in the carpet under the driver's feet. I pulled the cowl and found the driver's side drain was partially clogged and the water couldn't flow to the passenger side (where the drain was clear)...

    Water leak

If you're hearing water move around when driving, check the drains in the front doors. When they clog, they hold a LOT of water that shows up as humidity inside the car. Fortunately, they can be opened with fingers and then just flushed out. Good idea to check and flush them each season change.

    Water leak

Mine has behaved a little differently - water around the cowl wets the cabin air filter and blocks all air flow. Ended up replacing the cowl three years ago since it wasn't sealing to the windshield. I clear the cowl drains about every 2 years. I last cleared the sunroof drain tubes three years...

    Tpms and push button start

Old thread but just had issues with this in my 2011 SHO after tire rotation. Service team (not Ford but reliable and trusted!) couldn't get it to clear the fault. Trying different things myself and discovered the on-off-repeat doesn't work on mine. On (but not running) and 5x stab the hazard...

    outside door trim

Gotta admit, next to "yellow death", Gorilla Glue is pretty awesome ... as long as you don't have to worry about it growing into spaces you don't want it to.

    outside door trim

I don't recall any clips. ... I'll check the service manual ... it describes the panels as "applique" and none show any fasteners. See items 3 and 4 in the image below.

    outside door trim

I had to remount my driver's side. I used 3M weather strip adhesive (aka, "yellow death").

    Quickstruts for Front End

Yes, and thank goodness I really love the car! It would be easy to skip it if it were a POS but it's been a great car, even sometimes serving as our truck hauling way more stuff than most people think it can hold. One more big trip to New England the just after the end of the month and it'll be...

    Quickstruts for Front End

Over $3K total. Some of the parts I bought myself and installed and then I had to invoke professionals when I couldn't break bolts loose for the front end pieces. The last ones came up when they couldn't get the alignment to spec - not enough adjustment left on front inner tie rods and the rear...

    Quickstruts for Front End

Add to that work the front inner tie rods and rear toe links when my dealer found (and showed me) they were too rusted to be able to adjust fully for a good alignment. I hate the added expense but I'm not going to have to worry about those parts for quite awhile. Good news is the mechanic was...

    Quickstruts for Front End

I did Monroe quickstruts on my 2011 with 105K miles on it. Also replaced lower control arms & bushings, stabilizer links, in outer tie rod ends on the front, and shocks, upper control arms, and stabilizer links on the rear. As I mentioned on another thread, my EcoBeast is now as solid and quiet...

    Lower A-Arm Replacement/Ball Joint Replacement

On my 2011 SHO, at 105K miles with some solid "clunk" sounds up front and back, I replaced front struts (complete assembly), lower control arms & bushings, stabilizer links, outer tire rod ends, rear shocks, rear stabilizer links, and rear upper control arms. My EcoBeast is now as solid and...

Leaking PTU - How to fix?

See the other threads related to the PTU. There's a lot! I wouldn't say it's done ... yet. To share what I just posted on one, I just had my PTU (2011 SHO, 105K miles, no previous PTU maintenance) tapped and fitted with a drain (see other threads about PTUs for the source!) My mechanic called me...

    PTU drain plug - shavings?

I just had my 105K mile PTU tapped and fitted with a drain (see other threads about PTUs for the source!) My mechanic called me concerned when nothing drained out, and then stuck a screwdriver through the hole and it came out with sludge. He ran a transfluid flush through it for three hours...
