    Mine was doing the same thing off and on for a few years. There is some Internet buzz regarding the wiring harness to the sensor. After replacing the sensor a few times, Ford finally replaced the harness (as the sensor was still under warranty) and boom shakalaka, problem solved.

    Most likely the timing chain; it happens to everyone here. You got a bit more miles on it before it happened, but it's time. Chain and water pump, it won't be cheap but it's required. I had mine done around 65k miles, was about $3k at my local Ford dealer.

    My codes per caused by the timing belt being stretched all the way out; that might be your issues, especially on a 2010. It's a super expensive service point but it fixed EVERYTHING that was silly with my 2015.

    I would say to replace the timing chain at the same time; my 2015 had stretched to the point of timing issues by 68k miles in 2021. This isn't an easy thing on the Gen 4, I bit the bullet and had the dealership do it, about 3k if I remember correctly.

    My vote is an issue with the pump, I had my timing chain replaced last year (2015 with 70k at the time). Tech said it had stretched way past the ability to tension.

    This could be the timing chain. I was throwing camshaft position errors and the actual reason was the timing chain had stretched past it's limits. A mere 3k and all is well..... hah. The Ecoboosts are not kind to the timing chains.

    I've been pretty lucky so far, I just had the dealership do the timing chain a 70k but other than that it's just been a few minor things like blend doors. I really enjoy the 93 tune I have from Livernois {with the plug, thermo and 3bar}.

    I am in the process of pin point testing my HVAC, can't turn the blower on. Replaced fan and control module, Forscan shoes HVAC codes, the mode actuator was unhappy. Short story, that little 31 dollar part seems to require the entire dash and central console be removed....
