    i really like straight pipe idea, the exhaust is in verry good shape, i had no problems welding flowmaster 40s out back, and the y is in just as good if not better shape than the back of the car. thanks for the great idea!

    while fixing my flange on my stock y pipe, i gave the cats a wrap or two with my fist and discovered that they are starting to come apart, which leads me to believe this is what is causing my loss of power. i know the best thing to do it buy a after market set-up, but im not opposed to breaking...

    i agree, i have been going to carlisle all ford for 15 years now, and i have never seen it this bad, it was dead this year, i had a boatload of sho parts for sale, along with a bunch of mustang parts, old and new, i brought home just about everything i brought to the show. i hope it gets better...

    well. because all my parts cars are autos, the steel pipe was different so i cut the crimp off of the engine side of the rubber hose and there is a flared end on the pipe, so i used a piece of heater hose from a p71 crown vic i had and cut it to size, all fixed for now.

    pressure tested and is the hose off the back of the block. i have 4 parts cars so no big deal on the parts end, thanks all for the input!

    Replaced pump and strainer and cleaned tank again. All is good for now. Does anyone have a decent exhaust there looking ringer rid of?

    Tank was dropped when I did the pump. After mAny hours of dig last night I have decided to drop the tank and try Another pump. I will let you all know how it goes and again thank you all soo much for your help.

    No engine codes. Fuel pressure dropping off when messing up. Fuel pump is on at all times (tested with stethoscope on fuel tank) I'm thinking bad regulator at this point. No change after replacing cam and crank sensor.

    its definitly a electrical issue. no check engine light but as i said before when it messes up i can shut the car off and start it right back up and its fine but messes up under a load like loosing voltage maybe.
