i was driving to work today and noticed a bit of smoke from under my hood. so i pulled over and took a look under the hood and found there was coolant all over the firewall, possible bypass hose, or??? also noticed a fair amount of power over the last month or so, maybe a head gasket? oil is clean, coolant is clean. im going to pressure test the cooling system tomorrow, and also going to check for exhaust gas in cooling system, but any opinion is a good one, so lay em on me. i will post what i find tomorrow, thanks.

yeah, especially the one right next to the engine - it gets the hottest so the rubber tends to break down quicker.

well. because all my parts cars are autos, the steel pipe was different so i cut the crimp off of the engine side of the rubber hose and there is a flared end on the pipe, so i used a piece of heater hose from a p71 crown vic i had and cut it to size, all fixed for now.
