I am really digging those wheels. What are they?

Red 92 MTX in Kansas City MO

Being a broke colleg student is really taking its toll on my car hobby. I need to sell this one to stay ahead even though I would kind of like to keep it and do a few mods to it. Here is the skinny: Mileage: 150,XXX The good: Lots of the major maintenance has been taken care of. New clutch...

MTX Transmission Whine in 3rd and 4th?

Okay, that is pretty much what I figured. Fluid level is fine. I just put a clutch in it,and had been driving it around. I had a pretty bad trans fluid leak form bad axle seals, so I took care of that on Friday. It was low on fluid before the axles seals were replaced, but not what I would...

MTX Transmission Whine in 3rd and 4th?

?? The shifter is pretty firm. There isn't much slop in it at all.

    Sub-frame Connector Pics?

I have searched quite a bit looking for pics of SFCs installed. I could make up my own, but I would like an idea of how it has already been done. Thanks. EDIT: Never mind. I found pics on Shotimes.

MTX Transmission Whine in 3rd and 4th?

Finally got the SHO back together, tagged and have been driving it aournd a bit. Is it normal for there to be a slight amount of whine with these transmissions while accelerating in 3rd and 4th. You can hear is pretty readily with the radio off and the windows up. It isn't terrible, but I...

you could do the same if it is an ATX that is in park.

car runs like crap. Tons of misleading clues and mix matched results

We switched the MAF over from my car and apparently no noticeable changes. I went for a ride after the MAF swap, and I really don't think the secondaries being stuck open is the main issue. The top end and everything below it feels really slow.

    Almost done with the clutch...

Lol. I am already wanting to build a Y-pipe and exhuast for it now. Gotta get rid of some of my Honda parts first though. It is funny. Every time I happen to go to the junkyard, there is a 3.2 swap sitting there just begging to be plucked.

    Almost done with the clutch...

Finally got some time to finish up the clutch. I am soooooo happy right now. I have a huge exhaust leak, but I kind of expected that one. Lol. Now time to find some exhaust studs.

    Replacing exhaust manifold studs

I would think that the following would work out well: Oxy acetylene torch. PB Blaster or some other penetrating oil. Stud remover. :laugh_ti: Dunno man. They can be a huge pain to replace. I am thinking about replacing them on mine while it is still torn apart. It would be nice to...

Is TwEECer the only solution for us?

Thanks for the replies. Nothing major done to it. Dunno if/when I may change anything. Well. I guess if/when I decide to start modding the SHO, I will have to go with the Tweecer. I would love to be able to use the Moates stuff, but I don't have the knowledge to decipher and map out the...

    Almost done with the clutch...

Thanks for the replies fellas. Looks like I will button this sucker up soon. After some searching, I kind of got the impression that the rev. B TOB was a major improvement. LJRuddy, I haven't seen you on the local forum lately. EDIT: Oops. I see you were on the bet ban list.:p

    Almost done with the clutch...

:frown: Is it is really that bad? What makes the ceramic one a better choice? The fingers on my old PP were bent to hell and the tips were worn badly. How does the ceramic TOB help avoid this? It is a revision B TOB BTW. Dammit. I am tired of ordering parts and having to wait...

Is TwEECer the only solution for us?

Can we not use something like EEC Editor? Or maybe Tunerpro RT. I already have an Ostrich emulator that I use for my Honda stuff, and it would be nice to be able to get some more use out of it witht he SHO. Craig Moates has all the EEC IV adapters and such. Anybody have any experiences?

    Almost done with the clutch...

Finally after having the clutch sitting around for a year and the SHO being pretty much down for about the same amount of time. Lol. So, how much am I giong to regret not getting the ceramic TOB? I don't plan on beating on this thing too much. At least that is what I tell myself...

    runs like crap

Is it just running rough or is it running on 4 out of 6 cylinders? I just went through this whole ordeal as well. It turns out that my EDIS module was bad, but only one channel stopped working. The engine was literally running on 4 cylinders.

    spark plug wire Q

Meh, I just bought a set of Autolite plug wires for the SHO. They fit worlds better than the old parts store specials that were on there. They are built so much better too. I would have preferred to get th Motorcraft wires, but I am not paying close to 200 dollars for a set of plug wires.

    Installing Plug Wires

Been there and done it just recently. It sucks, but it can be done. I ended up taking off the intake to check out some other problems though. While it was off, I re routed them so that they were nice and neat.
