need shifter select cable

I need a shifter select cable for a 1990 ford taurus Sho, 5 speed. The dealer wants $200 for a new one. Help!!! Thanks Nick

First gen tranny problem

Got in my SHO today and pulled out in first but, i think it was third. Also the shifter is real loose. Just wondering if it is the linkage, and if it is I heard that they used to make a replacement rod linkage like in the newer ones. Any ideas on how much this will cost me to get fixed?
