Was this SHO just cold or does the PP make a big difference?
Another factor to weigh in is whether the non-PP has adaptive cruise control. My '13 has ACC as well as the multi-contour (massaging) seats, which were not even an option in the later years. I would definitely select a non-PP with ACC over a PP without. But, that's just me. Your priorities may...- GHNorth

Just returned from a 7k mile road trip...
Not my SHO, but my daughter drove from Temecula, CA to Newnan, GA in her '13 Flex EB, towing a U-Haul trailer. Only issue was a battery failure, which she and her sister changed themselves. I've made a few trips from Northern Virginia to Nashville, Newnan, and Sarasota, but no cross-country.- GHNorth

Has anybody added the Driver Assist package?
Agreed. Cadillac didn't offer Adaptive Cruise on the XLR-V either. Only on the base XLR. I would have an XLR-V in my garage now if they had. I still think a MB SL-63 AMG (with DA) is in my future, unless Ford improves the Mustang Mach-E GT Performance.- GHNorth

The V20 tune is definitely better than the V11... that was a POS. You, fortunately, never had to experience that version. V20 was a major upgrade in my car, since it updated the strategy code as well as the tune. Your car may be different. Whether it feels quicker, or provides more power...- GHNorth

Battery Recommendations
I put a Diehard AGM in my '13 SHO a few years ago. I still keep it on a battery maintainer whenever parked in my garage since I drive infrequently. I won't go back to lead-acid with all of its corrosion if I can avoid it.- GHNorth

For 2022 MB is trying to pass a rebadged S-Class Cabriolet as an SL-Class, with an AWD option. Back seats? Soft top? That is NOT an SL!! Livernois v11 vs v20
I installed the V20 tune in July, and have had a couple instances where the car didn't want to shift from 1 to 2. However, it seems fine most of the time, and I can't really justify spending more money on a new tune, especially since I am actively shopping for a replacement (SL-63 AMG).- GHNorth

Loss of Power on Highway
OP didn't mention what year, but there was safety recall on the fuel pump control module (behind the back seat.) If the recall was not done, or even IF done, it could have died.- GHNorth

Funky shifting w/ Livernois 3-bar v11 91 octane tune
Yes, the latest version is V17. They should provide the upgrade for free. They did for me last year. It is an improvement, but still not equivalent to a GH tune. I still experience the delayed 1~2 shift, though not as often, especially after the weather warmed up.- GHNorth
