how good are sony xplod speakers?
No doubt the focals, dynaudios, morels, or rainbows would sound 10 times better than your everyday consumer speakers. there is no disputing that. those units also cost much much more than your average speaker, mostly because they are much more than your average speaker. if you are looking for...- D. i agree with the infinity comment, i don't have much experience with the referecne series which is their cheap stuff, but with kappa which is their good stuff, i have nothing but good things to say. the perfects are pretty much taht. especially the subs. i ran 2 perfect 12.1's for a while, they...- D. yeah, i am aware that the 55 series and below are directional, and the 60 series aren't, but that is ok, most of the driving i do isn't at the car's limits, and these will do fine for the driving at the limits i will do. i wanted to go the summer/winter tire route, problem is that is really...- D. wow! what size were those yokahamas? just out of curiosity? i already got the tires from tire rack. the other thing is how long are those yoka's going to last? and are they adequate for snow use. those were my criteria, and from everyone i heard from the dunlops were more than addequate for the...- D. yeah, the tire rock is hooking me up, the tires are 76 bucks each, and shipping is like 30 bucks. my local mechanic is going to charge me 20 bucks a tire to take the old ones off, mount the new ones, install a new valve stem and balance. i am going to end up paying like 420 total. i think that...- D. Yeah, I had wanted to get the wider tires, however, the tire rack only has the stock size on sale, and they are such an increadable deal at 76 bucks each, it isn't worth the extra money to get the extra width. Plus the narrower tires will deal better with the winter conditions here in Rochster...- D. Avino

i am thinking about getting the dunlop sport 5000's from the tire rack. they are on an insane deal for 76 bucks each for the stock size for my 95MTX. does anyone not recomend these tires? or are there any better suggestions. i need a tire with good all season performance, including winter...- D. Mounting your tweeters!!! (Component sys)
there are several areas that would work good for mounting tweeters in the SHO. Anyone with custom sound as in bandpass boxes?
bass has no probelm passing through the back seat of a taurus, a hole is not nescesary at all. i ran a 12 inch kappa perfect in my old sable, and had no problem at all with bass in the cabin. i am not putting a system in the SHO yet, maybe just replacing the amps. don't worry about porting the...- D.
