tranny installation?

has sdpatt explained how he made that wood engine support. It looks like it would help a lot if I could make one. Do you know of any other ways to hold up the engine when removing the tranny?

tranny installation?

I am getting mixed answers about replacing the tranny in my car. Everyone is telling me to do it a different way. It is a 91 mtx. Could someone possibly explain to me the best way to tackle this? Any input would be very appreciated. Thanks

need help

hello!! My SHO has 130K on it. I toasted the tranny and I am going to replace it soon with a used one. I heard that to replace the tranny you have to drop the whole subframe with the engine and tranny and lift off the body. It seems to me that this is a huge job. It also makes me think that when...

Rear Main Seal

Thank you for your advice. I think I should do a 60K since my car has 130K on it and I don't know what maintenance has been done to it. Do you know where I can get a good manual to explain to me the procedures. I also heard that you need shims to adjust the valves. Do you know where I could find...

Rear Main Seal

I am thinking about trying to change the rear main seal on my 91 SHO. I am putting a new tranny in it and I thought that it would be a good time to change it. Could you give any input on how to go about it. What are the steps that I need to take to do this. Any info would be appreciated.
