I finally got around to editing the vid from last month. The Pumpkin spent much of the summer scattered in pieces across my garage, and I wound up taking the Focus (which doesn't have a camera mount) to a couple of events instead of the Pumpkin. November saw the return of the Great Orange Heap to the asphalt, and here's the proof (16 and a half minute's worth, about 96M if you want to save it off, otherwise it should stream okay):

PIR, 11/08

The last few minutes is just me chasing a TTU 'Vette around...gets boring after a bit maybe.

what was that white car with the huge wing?

Porsche 914? There were two 914s (both six cylinders), both passed me on the front straight. One is white with some black pieces, the other is in Gulf colors (blue with a red stripe).

The white one makes >250whp and weighs about 2600 lbs w/driver, the other makes about 214whp and weighs about 2450 lbs w/driver. They scream.

What was up with the guy in the vette? He should have been way out in front in most of those turns but instead right in front of you most of the time. The Porshe's sounded good though. Thats desktop material for a boring night at work.

He was a new guy, so I'm assuming he's just learning the course and/or the car or might even still be learning track driving. He did get quicker later, and followed me for several laps during a later session.

That car is definitely faster than that.

Thanks. I've made some cover plates for the dash but haven't painted or installed them yet.

And we'd like to get our sponsorship logo on one of them if you don't mind. I'll have my people call your people.

If i'm in town this weekend, I will try and get out to watch some of that racing.

Definitely. You get first dibs on the space.

Cool, let me know. I no longer have a passenger seat, though. :(

You know, I'm sort of relieved to hear that. BTW, I had lunch with Dusty and he mentioned he would like to go also. Just trying to figure out my schedule.

Eric,

Dusty and I will be there on Saturday. Anybody else want to watch the Pumpkin go fast?
