I noticed this morning that no matter what button I push on the etac, defrost, panel, floor, that the heat always comes out of the defroster. I have control of fan speed and temp, just not position. Does this sound like a heater core issue?

No. You probably lost the vacuum to the control head.

Check that first. Then, check the vacuum actuator motor above the gas pump to see if the linkage has come apart.

There're more, but those are the most common reasons.

Thanks, but what do you mean by the gas pump and where is it located?

Found a vac leak on the "hard flexible" lines in the engine bay right before the firewall. I ended up fixing 2 problems because that vac leak was causing some stumbling on throttle tip in. It didnt bother the car anyplace else in the pedal range because of the vac check valve between the ETAC and the rest of the vac system. Thanks for the help.
