A 60 degree V6 will not sound like a V8, especially with only a muffler change.

i know that much... but the quiet flow 2s make the v6 have a deep tone like a v8 i saw a video with a taurus duratect with the walker quiet flow mufflers on it and it didnt sound bad.

Yea really no way to make the V6 sound like a V8. The Gen IIIs will always have us in that dept. I have dual flowmasters on my atx and it sounds good, but I have a couple leaks in my front pipe and im sure if that was fixed it would sound awesome. On my mtx its stock but when I do the exhaust im going to put the dynomax kit on and a magnaflow front y pipe. If you want to know what it sounds like type in "SHO SS" on youtube and it should be the first sound clip that comes up, that guys sounds good to me and its the same setup.

Resonators. I have 44" of total resonator on my car, with a pair of cats (they help **** rasp), and a pair of mufflers, I have been told I have one of the best sounding sho's around.

i put a dynomax catback on a couple of weeks ago and i like it. the more i drive it the louder it gets. at idle it is quiet and you can listen to radio at highway speeds. good bang for the buck and it improved performance.HTH

I've got a SHOBros. High Flow Y with a Dynomax Cat Back. Can be a little raspy at times, but I like it overall. I might try installing a longer resonator to help with the rasp.

ShoBros Y and Dynomax cat-back here too. If you're just revving it while sitting still, or sometimes while driving nicely, it has some rasp at around 2700 RPM. If you're driving hard, it doesn't seem to have any rasp.

Very quiet at idle, but it sounds great when it's opened up. I like it, but I'm hoping to install another resonator in it as well. Well worth the money, in any case.

One thing I didn't like about the kit - the mufflers fit quite poorly. It's not that they get in the way of anything or hang too low, but the tailpipes are nowhere near the cutouts in the bumper, and not symmetrical either. I'm pretty sure it's not me installing them wrong, the kit only fits together one way and I've tried tweaking all the angles of the joints multiple times. I have mine as even side to side as I can get them, they're still not perfect, and I'm probably 4-5 inches away from the cutouts in the bumper.

Walker Quiet flows do sound good but are only aluminized; stock are stainless steel, so expect to replace in about 3 years, depending upon use and climate. Not much HP to be gained by replacing a cat back and not a good bang for the buck; if your stock exhaust is not rusted out, I'd go with other upgrades first and do exhaust down the road.

mine hangs about 3 inches below the cutouts in the bumper but an inch of that is caused by the subframe connectors. i think it looks okay.HTH
