Need to talk to the wiff about this. Last year we were on our way up but ran into too dangerous of driving conditions to make the trek. I wasn't afraid of my driving on that stuff, it was everyone else I was worried about.

I was sidetracked yesterday so reservations have NOT yet been made. So yeah, it's not too late. I have a couple others on the fence as well, so let's bump the deadline to mid-week

Ok, reservations are being made tomorrow evening, here's the list thus far:

Reservations have been made for 4:30 pm 
Per tradition, we'll all meet at Bronner's north lot. Take their main entrance and then turn left into the lot as soon as you're able (it's one BIG lot, we meet in the north end near the hotel with the water slide). Be there NO LATER than 4pm!
If you've never been to Frankenmuth before, I suggest arriving MUCH earlier, as downtown is fabulous and you could easily spend a couple hours in Bronner's Christmas world.
Should anyone need to cancel, or if anyone else in interested in coming, go ahead and let me know. If you want to go and are not on the list I'll see if they can work in additional space to the reservation, but I can't make any guarantees. I ask that people only cancel if there's something significant (like last year's weather) as space is a premium at the restaurant and I could get hit with an additional charge if I reserve 15 seats and only 5 show up.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Unfortuately Cougarman and family will not be able to make it, so as of right now we have FOUR open slots for dinner. Before I give Bavarian Inn a call I thought I'd see if anybody else is interested in picking up the empty seats. Please let me know ASAP if you'd like to go.

After talking with the special guest, he will not be able to attend either, however he did give me some special goods from Ford to hand out at the dinner
At this point we have 6 extra slots available for dinner, but I'll need to revise the booking with Bavarian Inn by the end of THIS WEEK, so for anyone who still might be interested, please post up now! With the extra items from Ford, I'm hoping to have a gift for everyone who attends

Ok, weather for Saturday looks to be cloudy and in the 30s, no big storms like last year so that's good news.
Fuel prices in the area are currently in the $1.50-$1.40 range!
Keep in mind that, aside from dinner, there are all kinds of neat shops in downtown, as well as the HUGE outlet mall off I-75 at at the Birch Run/Frankenmuth exit. There's also a nice antique shop a few miles south of Bronner's; if you exit at the main Birch Run exit it's at the blinking light where you turn left to go to Frankenmuth (I don't know road names sorry). And of course there's Bronner's Christmas world, the largest Christmas store in the world.
The day looks good, the dinner will DEFINITELY be good, looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday!

I am having some transmission issues with my SHO and I have no other means of transportation. I need to baby my SHO and not drive anywhere I don't have to. I would rather not take the chance of being seriously brokedown hundreds of miles away from home. I am sorry. My money is also very tight as well, just not good timing. Going to be a pretty slim Christmas for me this year. I would have liked to have come and met some new faces to go with names and enjoyed that chicken dinner and shops all the other things too. Thank you for the efforts of planning this, just doesn't work out for me to go.
