Ok, I need to do the recall on my rear subframe bushings,it hasnt been done, and needs to be done. I have the kit, just really dont want to get into it. I live in the Baltimore Area, and was looking for someone in the area that wanted to do it. Let me Know! and how much you will charge to do it, its a 91 mtx. Thanks Guys!

Why don't you bring the car to ford? It's a safety recall so I am pretty sure they have to honor it no matter what.

I could do that, Im sure. I never really thought of that to be honest, I just figured someone in the SHO community( which is better than the Ford Dealer in my opinion) wouldnt mind doing it, I dont mind paying for it, God knows owning a SHO is costly, haha. Thanks for that though 1993MTXSHO, if noone is too interested, I will take it there.

I would recommend taking it to Ford. It is a safety recall and thew must perform it. If you still want to try to tackle the job with some help we might be able to work something out where you come down our way. Baltimore is just a little far out for most of us and we all currently have our own SHO issues too. :) My place is in College Park. Maybe we could make a meet out of it.

I'm a Ford Tech. If you were in Northern Virginia, I'd be happy to do the recall for you since nobody here at work likes to work on SHO's :laugh_ti:

What! Why not!!

From what all the guys tell me that have been with Ford since the late 70's (I work with a couple) that the SHO's didn't share any drivetrains with anything else that ford makes so I guess that threw them off. I don't think they are hard to work on at at all (I was a VW tech for 4 years) so anything else is a piece of cake for me! :snicker:

I might be able to arrange a trip to VA for you to do the recall, Do you have a contact at your dealer I can get in touch with to set up an appt? Let me know!

I'm not sure how it's going to work out since you have the parts already.. To do the recall at the dealer we have to either have the parts or order the parts ourselves, since Ford has to see the parts billed out on the repair order.

But, Ford does not list this recall on our site now. The only recall it lists is for the rear subframe plate nut replacement. I don't think this is what you want done since it doesn't have bushings listed as being replaced in this recall.

I would still be happy to do it, if you still wanted to make the trip and wanted to pay to have it done.
